In the Muhammadiyah organization, akhlak and organization are two things that cannot be separated. In organizations, we are required to play an active role in achieving the vision and mission, which makes us interact intensely with other individuals. With the above facts, it is a must for us to know the akhlak in the organization.

Akhlak are internalized traits that can be released happily and without much consideration and without coercion. Akhlak in terminology means behavior that is driven by a conscious desire to do an action. Morals aim to make humans different from other creatures.

Akhlak are something that humans must have in order to relate well to other humans, let alone to God the creator. The science of akhlak exists to know the differences in human behavior from good and bad, so that humans can stick with good traits and stay away from bad ones. Akhlak control the actions of human beings or also called intentions, if everyone controls the will in his intention then he can become a human being with good morals.

Some applications of akhlak in organization:

- Not feeling the most righteous and being open to other people's opinions, because the best opinion may come after we hear different perspectives.

- Open to everyone, one of the problems in organizations is the existence of opposing camps. Often this becomes an obstacle in the organization because of the disintegration that causes division. It is natural to have different views on something but this must be discussed with openness to avoid divisions.

- Putting common interests above personal interests. When we enter an organization, it is important to have the mindset that the common good is above personal ambition.

- Organizational morals are not always about how we behave towards others, they are also about how we conduct ourselves. It focuses on two things: commitment and competition.

- Commitment exists for three reasons, namely because they want to continue to play a role in the organization because of the similarity of vision and mission, also called affective. Wanting to continue to play a role in the organization because of considering the losses and benefits of staying or leaving the organization is also called continuance. The existence of feelings and responsibilities that bind to the organization is called normative.

In Muhammadiyah organizations, the role of akhlak in the organization indicates the extent to which individuals in it are able to behave morally and make a positive contribution to the common goal. From good akhlak, positive organizational life values are created for individuals in the organization, such as:

- Amanah

Having the trait of Amanah indicates that the person can be trusted and carry out responsibilities well. Many smart people out there are not trustworthy and end up abusing their responsibilities such as committing corruption and other crimes. Trustworthy individuals have credibility that cannot be bought, they act with purpose in their work and behave in accordance with rules and obligations. Amanah individuals also do not compromise on fraud and misconduct.

- Integrity

Having integrity as a human being means showing potential and ability in authority and honesty. Integrity is an unwavering consistency and firmness in upholding noble values and beliefs or in other words, integrity is a consistency between actions and values and principles.

- Competent

Competence is a person's ability to carry out everything that is responsible properly and adequately. Individuals with competent traits tend to always look for opportunities to learn and continue to develop on the other hand they are also consistent with appropriate performance and achievement that match even exceed the targets

- Loyal

Loyal means putting the interests of the organization above personal or group interests and ambitions. Loyal also means loyal and active in organizational activities that are shown to achieve the vision and mission, loyal individuals will show a strong commitment to achieving work results that support organizational goals such as carrying out instructions seriously and responsibly.

- Adaptive

With adaptive abilities, each individual is aware and responsive to changes and is open to recognizing and dealing with ambiguous circumstances from these changes. With adaptive ability, it will create confidence in doing things and making decisions such as projecting confidence in the quality of knowledge and ability to propose suggestions and criticism.

- Collaborative

Individuals who have a collaborative attitude will take advantage of opportunities to advance and benefit and develop strategic activities. They also show hope and support for the progress and development of organizational colleagues such as providing balanced feedback to encourage the continuous development of others. They are also experts in using information from environmental analysis for recommendations on policies or vision and mission of the organization.

- Harmonious

Appreciating and respecting everyone with various differences to be able to coexist is a situation created by moral people in Muhammadiyah organizations. Creating a positive and conducive work environment through cooperative attitudes and mutual respect for fellow organizational colleagues is the beginning of individual character building to face the wider social world, namely participating in the development of the nation and state.

Muhammadiyah believes that efforts in building the life of the nation and state, through community development and political channels, are things that must be done. The state is a necessary forum in building divine values and grows along with the establishment of values of togetherness, justice, order, peace and civilization. Muhammadiyah also believes that religion lives in the veins of the life of the Indonesian nation. Therefore, religion has a constitutional fundamental position in the state and is included in the national education system. And above that, akhlak are the fundamental thing needed in this development.

In organization, nation and state Muhammadiyah emphasizes to always imitate the behavior of the prophet in practicing noble akhlak, so that it becomes uswah hasanah This is formulated in the Muhammadiyah Islamic life guidelines. The Muhammadiyah Islamic code of life is a guideline for living life in the scope of personal, family, community, organization, business, professional development, nation and state.

Muhammadiyah believes that it is necessary for us to take a role and not be apathetic in political life through various ways in a positive way as a form of mu'amalah as in other fields of life by adhering to the principles of Islamic morals as well as possible with the aim of building a virtuous society and adhering to Islam properly.

Therefore Muhammadiyah emphasizes and instills in its members to adhere to morals in everything they do. Because only with morals and faith can humans survive and distinguish between good and bad things. Muhammadiyah believes that behind the progress of a nation and state there are people who have iman, virtue and akhlak as the main pillars.
