Taylor Swift's concert film 'The Eras Tour' will officially hit theaters in Indonesia starting November 3, 2023. This statement has been announced by CBI Pictures, the distributor company that is taking the concert movie to Indonesia. They also announced that pre-sale tickets for the movie 'Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour' will be available starting October 27.
On Instagram, the official account @cbipictures wrote, "Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour. In theaters from November 3, 2023. Pre-sale tickets available from October 27, 2023."
Ticket prices for this concert movie have also been announced. For the Jabodetabek, Bandung, Surabaya, Medan, Semarang, and Bali areas, tickets will be sold for IDR 200 thousand. Meanwhile, for theaters outside these areas, tickets will be priced at Rp150 thousand. Several movie theater chains such as XXI, CGV, and Cinepolis will also show this movie.
Taylor Swift has announced that the 167-minute concert film will air simultaneously on October 13, 2023 in the United States and several other countries around the world. However, in the list of countries where the movie will be shown, there are two waves of international screenings, on October 13 and November 3.
More than 100 countries will screen 'The Eras Tour' simultaneously on October 13, while 13 countries, including Indonesia, will screen the movie on November 3, 2023.
'The Eras Tour' concert movie has recorded remarkable achievements since it was first announced by Taylor Swift on September 26. The movie's first ticket sales reached US$26 million at the AMC Theater network, surpassing the previous record held by 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' with US$16.9 million.
In North America, box office revenue in the first week of screening 'The Eras Tour' reached US$96 million or around Rp1.5 trillion. This achievement makes this movie the most successful at the box office, surpassing 'The Exorcist: Believer' and 'PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie'.
